What is NYC salad?

NYC Salad is a small local store located in Brooklyn. I choose to challenge myself by designing an app for a local store for users to order salad food at their own conveniences.

User Research

I conducted user research with a small group of users who likes to order salad foods. These insights will help to shape our understanding of the target audience's needs and preferences, guiding the design strategy for conveniences and seamless experience.

Design Goals

User-Friendly Interface:

Ensure the app is intuitive and easy to navigate.
Use clear, simple icons and labels for different sections.

Customizable Salad Creation:

Allow users to build their own salads from a wide range of ingredients.
Include options for different bases, proteins, toppings, and dressings.

Nutritional Information:

Provide detailed nutritional information for each ingredient.
Calculate and display the total nutritional value of custom salads

Dietary Preferences and Restrictions:

Allow users to filter ingredients and recipes based on dietary preferences
Mark allergens clearly.

Personalization and Recommendations:

Use AI to recommend ingredients and recipes based on user preferences and past behavior.
Allow users to save favorite recipes and ingredients.

Poppins is one of the new comers to this long tradition. With support for the Devanagari and Latin writing systems, it is an internationalist take on the genre.

This font is great for both headlines and paragraph copy to improve readability and style.
